President
Rhonda leads the Ferris Chamber of Commerce as President, following previous roles as Board Member (Year 1) and Vice President (Year 2). Professionally, she serves as Executive Vice President at Commercial State Bank, overseeing Human Resources, Accounts Payable, Payroll, serving as BSA Officer and Security Officer, and coordinating CEO responsibilities. She’s also an entrepreneur, the owner of The Sunflower Boutique in downtown Ennis, Texas, where she works side-by-side with her two granddaughters.
Rhonda chose the Chamber because she’s passionate about supporting local business owners and strengthening Ferris: “I want to contribute to the growth of our town and help create opportunities for our businesses to thrive.” She enjoys working with fellow board members and the City to bring the community together—especially organizing events and seeing Ferris unite as one. She believes the Chamber’s greatest contribution is encouraging the community to support one another and to support our businesses and our town as a whole. Personally, she advocates by promoting member businesses, sharing and tagging their posts on social media, and highlighting each business so they gain more visibility and support.
Outside of work, Rhonda is devoted to family, enjoys time at her boutique, and serves her church community—she is Financial Secretary for J bar C Cowboy Church in Palmer and volunteers with the Palmer Cemetery Association as Secretary/Treasurer. Her north star is simple: “Stronger together by supporting our town and our businesses.”
